I am going on my third winter of primarily using Olson's recipes to feed my family The recipes are very simple and are realistic for all moms When I was working parttime out of the home, I found her timesaving tricks extremely useful to ensure my family was still eating meals made from whole foods when I was really short on time Now that I'm home fulltime, I've been able to utilize evenof her recipes and tricks I also appreciate her nutritional food guide for pregnant and lactating women which helped me stay on track when I knew I wasn't either eating enough or the right balance of foods.
Most main dishes are vegan or easily made vegan, which is not always easy to find (many vegetarian cook books The Vegetarian Mother's Cookbook: Whole Foods To Nourish Pregnant And Breastfeeding Women- And Their Families use eggs and dairy) when cooking for my mixed vegan and ovolacto vegetarian household Many recipes are also wellreceived by my omnivorous extended family.
